About Me

Matt Bryant started working on electronic music in college writing and composing while majoring in music. With a background in woodwind and reed instruments Matt realized that electronic music was more creative and gave him more freedom so in 2003 DJ Salty Flavor was born. The name of DJ Salty Flavor comes from the Bible passage Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?” He has played live at several small venues in Austin, Texas where he currently resides. His debut album “Trust in the Lord” includes cool beats, uplifting synth-lines and even some flute that creates variety and interest. He continued to remix music and in 2007 won the Reel band’s Why Remix contest. He now uses his MacBook Pro with Reason and Live with an M-Audio Oxygen 8 to create all of his music.

I am married with no kids. I also enjoy rollerblading, riding my bike, and playing volleyball. I like smiley faces and smiley faces stickers. My favorite type of gum is Dentyne Ice. I like to play guitar hero over when I can get over to someone’s house to play it.  I also like Rock Band!
